Spring is here

Along with all the the things that come with it...

Nicer days...vacations to the beach to plan for, mowing the lawn and finally getting ready to wear shorts again! Trips to Rita's for desert, or Dairy Queen...plus, my favorite, GRILLING. Get some Nathan's Hot Dogs, some burgers, chicken, steaks and have a beer while my food sits over the fire. Good times.

I REALLY hate winters. I like one snowfall, for my daughter and I to play in, but after that it's just a big pain in my ass.

I'm still tired of the NCAA.

Ooh...Giambi grand slam today. Too bad it's still spring training.

I got a sword today. That's right. Don't come looking for trouble, or it's OFF with your head.

Dogs...

Go through new toys in about 20 minutes...probably such a waste of money.

Not to mention, I have a boxer, who has a knack for clearing a room with his heiney odors...which seems to be getting worse with age.

Speaking of boxing, I've been playing Fight Night Round 3. The lack of Lennox Lewis in this game is disturbing. Def Jam Icon was a funny game. Nothing like building a record label by simply beating people up. Stay out of the rap game, or E-40 will come looking to kick your ass.

Random stuff...

I hate this time of year. No baseball, no football, I only pay attention to the NBA when they get to the playoffs...and fucking COLLEGE Basketball. It eats up all the good ESPN time, every year. Guess what? Duke sucks. UNC Sucks. The team YOU like probably sucks. March Madness...The Final 4...it's all luck. NO SKILL.

I also don't understand why Michael Vick is currently employed. *I* could have progressed more in the NFL, given this many chances. This guy isn't even DOUG WILLLIAMS. So what...he can rush for 1000 yards. How many times does this jackass get sacked? For over 400 yards loss to boot. He's a TERRIBLE QB. Worse than Eli. Worse than TOMMY MADDOX for christ's sake! The Falcolns signed Joe Horn. Great. I hope he enjoys not catching passes.

Almost baseball time...

So, a spring training game was on ESPN today. I only watched for 20 minutes or so, but I was glad to get that "baseball" feeling back again. Being a Yankees fan, I always look forward to baseball season.

Now, don't get me wrong, I LOVE football, and the G-Men. But the baseball season is a much longer one, with games I can watch 4-6 times a week. With football, I get my one game a week (if I get to see it) and then waiting...and when your favorite team is the Giants...waiting is no fun.

Here's to another AL East title, hopefully an AL Pennant and a World Series run. I know I'll be mostly watching, and attending a few games.

Watch out for Chien Wang, and MOOSE. I predict they'll be a great duo this season, if healthy. And welcome back Andy Pettite.

Stealing's Bad Mmm-kay?

Once, in school we had to make rafts out of popsicle sticks...and then try and get these little bears to use the raft to float accross the tub of water without sinking. I liked the bears, and stole a few, leaving them in my desk. Well, my 5th grade teacher had a thing with messy desks...he went around and checked to see how clean the desks were, and if they were dirty, he would hold them upside down (these were the kind that opened from the top) and all the stuff would fall to the floor. Well, my stolen bears fell out and the teacher saw them...then i had to take them back to the kindergarden class (we borrowed the bears from them) and apologize for stealing them (I actually told them that I FORGOT there were 3 in my desk)...anyhow, don't steal...it's wrong.
